Ann Coulter: Darth Vader with a Pope Hat on

Ann Coulter is a worse representative of Christianity than the Grand Wizard! Will somebody pleeeze tell her to stop invoking God in her tomes? She is a poorer example of a Christian than Mick Jagger is of health and vitalicky! (Popeye) A clanging cymbal indeed! But is she an accurate portrait of a Conservative?

She could simply read from the Book of John, and would make Christianity wither like tomatoes on a vine in the desert. Regardless if she stumbles upon a valid point every now and then, the arsenic dripping from her tongue poisons any possibility of wooing anyone to her position. Those drawn to her point of view/methods are the same carrion-eaters who have subsisted on the flesh of the weak from the beginning.

Is SHE the true face of conservatism? Is her “cookie crumbs in the bed” personality the attitude of true evangelical thought? I hope not, but those like she and Hannity and Limbaugh and the rest of the talk radio consortium seem to be the arrowheads of the movement.

When I learned the definition of a harridan, her face shot up in my mind.

My CHRISTIAN views are pretty to-the-book conservative, but I part ways when it comes to how political conservatives often treat people different than they.

There go the rest of my readers, I guess…

  1. I agree 100%. I’ve gotten called on the carpet, about some of my blog links — LaShawn Barber, and Michelle Malkin, for instance. Folks give me much email grief. LOL! I had to tell folks I don’t necessarily agree with their positions on everything, or many things, but it keeps me on my toes and prepared to give an answer, as to why I do believe.

That is EXACTLY why I listen to that stuff, too!!

I’ve never seen so much hatred, towards our president-elect, by conservative Christians. I mean, with all the hissing from “conservative Christians”, I’d swear I was in a den of snakes. I pretty much kept my honest feelings about George W to myself, until so many of my comrades launched a head-on attack on our president elect, because he’s pro-choice and a “socialist”.

We got SO many “couch politicians”, who can’t manage to manage their own households — marriages are crumbling, kids are off the chain, etc., but they have so much more insight on how to run the country, than a “pagan prince”.

Makes you wanna holla, and throw up BOTH your hands!

I used to get one- to two hundred hits a day until I started voicing my opinion about evangelical hypocrisy. Now, I am lucky to get thirty-five.
It is just an indication that most people won’t like you if you are not in lockstep with them on everything.

I have problems with a lot of behaviors that I seldom talk about because people will try to put me in a bag. And I don’t FIT in a bag. Other than that of being a Christian. And not one of those “do what you feel” Christians, either! Wrong is wrong, black or white, liberal or conservative.
Keep doing what you do, friend.

  2. I’m still with you bro! Sensible conservatives are boring to the media. That’s why guys like Mike Huckabee and paleos like Alan Keyes don’t get far on the political landscape. There’s nothing about them to spur on the conservo-hate-mongers and not enough “arsenic” to rouse the ire of liber-haters. Rush, Hannity, Coulter, Beck and the like are polarizing and that gets ratings or, in media terms, makes MONEY. We all know the bottom line for this society is the dollar.

Thanks Rick! I know. And I agree!

  3. You know, I was just reading Micah 6:8 —

He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God?

Does that sound like Ann Coulter?

The fruits of the spirit — patience, gentleness, kindness, self-control, … see my point?

Ann Coulter is a good representative for those who bow down and worship the golden elephant. If your Jesus hates gays, taxes, and illegal immigrants, then you’re Ann Coulter’s kind of Christian.

Dang, I should just write my own post. You got me worked up!

Hey, Wickle! Glad I roused you! Happy New Year!

  4. I’ve noticed that Ann Coulter’s books are tough to read — tough like leather

I haven’t read her books, only heard her in SO many interviews. I don’t get to the library anymore, and I reFUSE to spend my money on her!

  5. I am so there with you on this, namely for the blistering example of her in starched sheets. Nice.

And if her crazed mug is the picture of conservatism, color me blue with a roller brush because I’m as liberal as Ted Kennedy… and his mama.

Yep. But she (and her kind) surely have a strong following, as evidenced by that congressman genuflecting before the Great and Powerful OZ… I mean, Limbaugh.

  6. Well, there are liberals and conservatives…somewhere in the middle is where truth lives. Unfortunately any marginalized group is represented by idiots that can be used by the media as a villian for the opposing view to hate. Every great story has a villian. Entertainment is masqueraded as news. The story a news outlet is writing already has the end figured out. Anything contrary to that end does not work.

Liberals thinking conservatives are brainless, hate mongering homophobes who care nothing about the poor. Conservatives believing every liberal is Godless, evil loving, handout dependent union member who cares more about the unborn whales and global warming than unborn babies. If you are somewhere in the middle, God help in any conversation where your voice of reason is shouted down and marginalized like a jazz fan who loves Kenny G!

It will not get better…the more noise…the less voice of reason will make it in the conversation.

    Except for MAXDADDY!
