That NEW Adage

A pressure-relief valve about God, and just about everything else.

The Hypocralypse

Williams’ Dictionary.

The “Hypocralypse”  (hi-POK-ra-lips)   n    def. – The sudden upsurge of “preachers”  (read: “Carnival Barkers”) who convolute the Gospel into a means of obtaining wealth from their “marks” by telling them to go get it from God.

Key sign of the Hypocralypse: They boast of  great wealth and “Supernatural Favor,” they flaunt their Bentleys or top-end Mercedes’, they regale with stories of  lavish mansions, (tax free “parsonages”). And rather than share with you the wealth they got from you, they make up magical formulas disguised as “Biblical Principles” for you to “tap into” the same blessings of God.

ex. “Use the same faith God used, the “God kind of Faith,” and create whatever you want, just like God did! Being made in the image of God means you can develop your Faith to the point to where you can do exactly what HE did!”

The Hypocralypse is often associated with “Immagettin” (ah-mah-GED-n)  n  , which is the great battle being waged by biblically loyal Christians against crooked, heartless, greedy, satin-tongued fake prognosticators who are “gettin'” every dime they have from those who don’t know and don’t WANNA know the hard Truths of Scripture.

The fighting is fierce, and the enemy is great in number, but as always, the Lord will win out with fewer soldiers that He may prove His might! There will be no secret, “catching away” of the saints in this battle! The example of Scripture is that Christians have to join the battle, not hide away from it.

If you are angry about these terms, you are either a three-legged sheep, or a wolf with a lambhock in ya mowf (mouth)!

  1. Hello Max,

What I wonder about these guys is why they do not use this great faith of theirs when push comes to shove? Usually, they get on air to beg the sheeple to send in their love gifts when there is a need.

If they would be true to what they preach, what they ought to do is get in their closets and keep saying it till it comes. But they won’t do that; would they?

I also ask, if what they really have is the same kind of faith they claim that God created all things with (of course, we already know that God does not have or exercise faith), how come thay can’t point to one little planet (or asteroid) they have created?

They point at cars, buildings, airplanes! Pah! Godless, faithless men have those in abundance too, in case no-one has noticed.

    Bless you.

  2. EXCELLENT point! I suppose, being the slick, quick talking players they are, they would say in response, “See, I’m tryin’ ta give YOU the chance ta be blessed too by ‘partnerin’ up wit this ministry! If I jus’ use MY faith, then YOU wouldn’t git the blessin’! You would be cut out the process. We all the body of Christ. We in this together!”

Logic plays no part when this flawed theology is extended to the fullest. That’s why Fred Price, who had for years boasted that he would NEVER go to a doctor, had to change his tune when his wife got sick (cancer, I believe) and when his knee or ankle (I forget which) needed surgery! Nevertheless, his blind, bleating sheep never questioned him on it.

  3. Oh, these Godless men and women have plenty of faith. You see, they have faith that whatever sob story they use or whatever Old Testament Scripture they twist, the sheeple will fork over their funds day after day, month after month, year after year. These pimps have faith in ignorance, flesh and biblical illiteracy.

  7. The supposed followers of Jesus have somehow been able to turn the Master’s message on its head. While Jesus stressed to give to the poor, the prosperity preachers have the poor giving to them, and that giving is in abundance. Jesus, the gospels claim had nowhere to lay his head, yet the prosperity folks live in unchained opulence. So much so, the stench of this hypocrisy has now come before the Congress of the United States. Under the guise of claiming prosperity for their flock, these contemporary Elmer Gantry’s have hoodwinked their followers with the slickest of promotions and entertainment. These chiselers also gain much of their monies by the selling of tapes and CD’s through their unabashed infomercials, teaming with the rest of the late-night infomercial hucksters. This garbage of spiritual self-help and wealth claiming propaganda videos and recordings are typically reworded and redone and sold again the very next year. They claim that their followers can find the same wealth by giving just a small amount, like a seed. Then this seed will grow into large tree of wealth. Unfortunately, the prosperity and wealth has only fallen to the likes of Paula White of the Without Walls International Church, Benny Hinn of World Healing Centre Church Inc., Joyce Meyer of Joyce Meyer Ministries, Kenneth and Gloria Copeland of Kenneth Copeland Ministries, and Creflo Dollar.

IIPeter 2.3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

    • What qualifies one as a “Man of God?” Simply SAYING so? Carrying a Bible? Or, is it whether what he teaches lines up with what God has said?

I dare say these men have nothing to fear as long as so many of us blindly leap to their defense!!

  9. Oooh, sounds like someone is jealous that god has prospered these men and woman of God, and who are you to judge and apparently God is blessing and prospering those who are planting seed into these ministries because they are continuing to do so, Suggestion !!!!!! Maybe you should plant a seed and see what god will do for you, Try God, test your faith, God might just open the windows of heaven for you, bless you exceedingly and abundantly, more than you ever ask or think, oh yea of little faith.
